Cory Monteith wants people to know that he's not like his character from Glee. No Kidding! He's twenty-nine playing a high school student. Cory didn't even finish high school. He went to twelve high schools and decided to drop out at the age of sixteen after getting involved in drugs. When Cory was nineteen, his friends and family became concerned and staged an intervention. After finishing a rehab program, Cory began acting and eventually landed his role on Glee. Cory wants his fans to learn from his mistakes. In his interview with Parade magazine, he says, "I don't want kids to think it's okay to drop out of school and get high, and they'll be famous actors too. But for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it. If I can, anyone can." We're proud of you Cory for dropping the drugs and making a name for yourself in a postive way!
