What's a Village Person to do??

Shockingly, the Young Men's Christian Association (better known as the YMCA) announced today that they would be shortening their name to simply, the Y. Of course, this news is not sitting well with a certain cop, construction guy, Indian chief, and some other dude (sorry, it's been a while since I saw a pic of the Village People!).  The disco legends, who's song extolling the virtues of hanging out with the boys, getting yourself clean, and having a good meal is still heard and acted out at wedding receptions nationwide, were very quick to proclaim their disappointment with the moniker change.  "We are deeply dismayed by today's announcement from the YMCA, that they feel a name change and a rebranding are in order after 166 years," the Village People's publicist said in a statement.  "Some things remain iconic, and while we admire the organization for the work they do, we still can't help but wonder Y."  Nice.  Well, at least the Village People are still gettin' gigs, as you can see them July 27th at the State Fair.  And yes, I'm pretty sure you will be hearing all four letters when they sing the Y.M.C.A.!
