I pride myself in knowing a thing or two about music, and I enjoy sharing some of this info with you, especially if you're a teen and haven't heard some older tunes before. So let's talk Jay-Z. The track that he uses for his current hit "Young Forever" is originally an 80's song called "Forever Young" by a German group by the name of Alphaville. I cannot tell a lie, "Forever Young" is actually one of my all time favorite songs! It came out in 1985, and then got re-released in 1988 as a special dance remix. The interesting thing is, it wasn't actually a hit either time (never hit the Top 40, the highest position it reached was #65, in 1988). If you saw Napolean Dynamite, you might remember that they played the song during the prom scene at the end of the movie. If you want to listen to the original, watch the video I posted here for you. Yeah, the video is fairly lame (as were most 80s videos!), but like I said, I think the song is pretty cool. Do you agree?
