Hi! I’m Intern Tressa!
I was raised in Fresno, California and moved to the Sacramento area over two years ago. I am currently a student at Sacramento State majoring in mass communications, graduating in May 2013, and work at a bank. I have been interning for The Wake Up Call for the past three semesters and counting and have been loving every minute of it, even if it is at 5:00 in the morning! One day, I hope to be doing what Jason, Gavin, and Katie do everyday and entertain thousands.
I have an unhealthy relationship with Food Network and E! in a sense that I am addicted to food and gossip. So, this industry is great for me! I am known to be very energetic, social, and loud. Like… REALLY loud. ;) but I am a big sap because I love love. I cherish my family and friends and am very thankful for every opportunity given to me.

Hey everyone! I’m intern Hailey.
I currently am finishing up my last semester at Sierra College and then I will be transferring to Sacramento State in the fall to get a degree in Communications and Marketing. As well as interning for the first time this semester, which I am very excited about, I work at California Family Fitness and Juicy Couture! One of the things I enjoy most with my spare time is compete in pageants. I was just recently Miss Sacramento and soon I will be competing for Miss California’s Most Glamorous! Wish me luck! Pageants have taught me the importance of carrying myself and speaking in a professional manner. As well as the importance of having enthusiasm! I love cooking and bake so when I have down time and watching TV it is always food network in order to broaden the scope of my culinary skill. My guilty pleasure is anything chocolate! So keep the Hershey’s away! I’m a very eccentric and outgoing person. Working with people and helping others is my motivation in life. A successful person keeps their focus on serving those around them.

Hi everyone! I’m Intern Annie!
I am a junior at Sacramento State majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations. When I’m not sitting in a lecture hall, I work at a music store. This is my first semester interning for The Wake Up Call and it’s wonderful! I am constantly trying to find time to sleep, eat McDonald’s, and watch the new Hawaii Five-0 with my dog. On top of being a student, working and interning, I sing and I dance. I sing with my two best friends at various events from local open mics to NBA games. Basically, I’m a little girl with big dreams. I’ve always told myself, “If I don’t make it in the music business, I want to work in an environment where I am surrounded by music.” Although I’ve experienced the attention from thousands of people, I’ve always been intrigued by the “behind-the-scenes” work in event coordinating, movies, television, and radio. This internship has given me the opportunity to learn the ropes of the radio industry and take steps forward toward my dream career!
