Whip, Nae Nae & Dab

Over the weekend, a gymnast from UCLA got a near-perfect score on her floor exercise, helping her team win the meet.

But her routine completely captivated people all over the world.

Just watch her moves. So energetic, so joy-filled, so precise, so much fun.

She got to throw in some dance moves too, and at the end, delivered a little Dab.

Nicely done!

Is This How an MVP Behaves?

Cam Newton, quarterback for the Carolina Panthers, has been taking a lot of criticism for the way he abruptly ended his press conference after his team's loss on Sunday in Super Bowl 50.

He was sulking, he answered the questions quickly, and he left unexpectedly. You've probably seen the video, but here it is in case you haven't.

Yesterday, Cam commented on his actions. And he is not apologizing.

Cam Newton knows how he reacted after the Carolina Panthers lost #SB50.And he won't apologize for it.

To me, that's not a guy that doesn't like to lose. That's a guy who has no idea what to do when he does lose.

What do you think?

"Awaken! And Welcome Death!"

One of the more unusual Super Bowl commercials was the one for Death Wish Coffee.

The company won a contest where the folks at Intuit QuickBooks paid for the production and airing of a 30-second ad during the Big Game for a small business.

Total price tag: around $5 million.

That's $2 million more than Death Wish Coffee brought in last year.

They call their coffee "fiercely-caffeinated," saying it's got twice as much caffeine as an average cup of coffee.

Which is good. Because if the commercial really amps up their business, they'll be needing to stay fiercely-caffeinated.

Death Wish Coffee Company's Big Game ad has fierce Vikings, a stormy sea, and of course, coffee. Watch it now and don't miss it on the game Feb. 7 in the 3rd quarter! #TeamSmallBiz

"Words Are Written on the Winds"

The folks who run the Academy Awards television show really don't like it when people ramble on and on and on when making their Oscar acceptance speeches.

So over the years, they've tried all sorts of techniques to hurry things along.

Cutting off microphones, playing music, cutting to commercial - everything short of having Sylvester Stallone grab one arm and Arnold Schwarzenegger the other and carrying the winner off-stage.

This year, nominees will be asked to provide a list of the people they wish to thank, and those names will appear as an on-screen scroll as the winners speaks, meaning the names won't need to be said.

According to Time magazine, the producers said, Words are written on the winds. A screen grab of your scroll can be kept forever."

What's more sentimental than that?

Several years ago, Jack Black and Will Ferrell got to sing the "Get Off the Stage" song at the Oscars.

Have a look - it's pretty funny.

"Damn, We All Still Look Good!"

Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber and Jodi Sweetin showed up on Ellen yesterday to talk about their new show, Fuller House.

The crew's back (except for the Olsen Twins) and the jokes are just as corny as they were in the original Full House.

They brought a trailer to show off - it's at roughly the 2:30 mark of the video clip.

The new series debuts on Netflix on February 26.

Let's see what the public's reaction is: have mercy, or cut it out!

See Ya Later, Gator

This one goes into the Someone Tell Me Why file.

A guy in Florida was just arrested for throwing an alligator through the drive-through window at a local Wendy's.

As the story goes, he saw the three-foot-long alligator on the side of the road.

He grabbed it, but it in the bed of his pickup truck, and then drove to Wendy's.

He ordered a soft drink, then tossed the gator into the restaurant.

Someone thinks he was just trying to prank his buddy who worked there.

Prank or not, the guy's being charged with aggravated assault. Plus, unlawful possession and transportation of an alligator.

Got to hit him with the whole thing, I guess...

Kentucky Fried Comedians

I'm having trouble keeping track of who's playing Colonel Sanders these days in the Kentucky Fried Chicken commercials.

In less than a year, there have been three different comedians jumping into the Colonel's white suit and doing their best to imitate a Kentucky drawl.

First it was Darrell Hammond, from Saturday Night Live. His Colonel was a little creepy for my taste.

Next up was Norm MacDonald, another SNL alum. He wasn't creepy, but he never got beyond being Norm MacDonald if you ask me.

Now, Jim Gaffigan's jumping into the frying pan.

Kentucky Fried Chicken | Dream | 2016 Big Game Commercial

Y'all ever have one of those dreams where a man dresses like you and talks like you and lives in your house and sells your delicious Nashville Hot Chicken? Hey, me too!

Posted by KFC on Saturday, February 6, 2016

The folks at KFC say that according to their polls, about 20% of people surveyed say they hate the new Colonels. Even the new one. And that's okay.

Way back in May, the company's CEO said, "They're actually talking about KFC, and you can market to love and hate — you cannot market to indifference."

He could be on to something there...

And This is How Boston Handles Snow

Boston, Massachusetts and the surrounding communities got hammered this time last year with some record snowfalls.

This year hasn't been too bad, but the past week has seen a couple of decent storms.

This footage was taken at the end of last week, showing a Bostonian helping to push a stuck motorist back into traffic on a slippery street.

The helper's attire might seem a bit bizarre - shorts and sneakers in a snowstorm - but it's Boston.

Bostonians are a hardy breed.

Or, they don't put a lot of thought into their winter attire.

You decide.

Our traffic tracker found some slick roads in the Beacon Hill area in Boston, including one car that was really stuck. What happens next is about as Boston as it gets.

"Once You Stop, You Die"

One of my favorite late night segments is "Carpool Karaoke" on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

James has an amazing talent, and a decent set of pipes.

And he's able to sing along with and interview guests while navigating the streets of Los Angeles.

After the Super Bowl, he had Elton John in the passenger seat.

An amazing bit of entertainment.

Check out the extended version...

"I Can't Sleep Since You Took My Puppet"

Okay, I know, the football season is officially over.

But there's always time for Bad Lip Reading.

And the BLR people released Part 2 of the NFL Bad Lip Reading serie at the end of last week, just before the Super Bowl.

But why waste it before the Big Game, when you can savor it a couple of days afterwards, right?
